Set within 30 acres of lush tropical jungle in Paklok, Phuket Elephant Sanctuary offers a meaningful and enriching experience in a serene, natural setting. As Phuket’s first ethical elephant sanctuary, it serves as a peaceful retirement home for elephants rescued from years of labor in the logging and tourism industries.
Guests are invited to observe these gentle giants as they roam freely, bathe in freshwater ponds, and socialize in a safe, open environment. The experience is thoughtfully designed to be non-intrusive, allowing visitors to witness the elephants’ natural behaviors while respecting their space and well-being.
Throughout the visit, you’ll gain insight into each elephant’s journey, learning about their rehabilitation process and the sanctuary’s commitment to ethical care and conservation. A visit also includes access to the sanctuary grounds, close yet respectful observation areas, and Phuket’s dedicated elephant hospital.

Activities:
9:30 AM: Kindly meet at our office in Paklok.
– Enjoy a comfortable transfer by vehicle to our Tree Top Reception.
– Watch an informative documentary about our work and the wellbeing of the elephants.
– Have the opportunity to meet the elephants up close in a hands-on experience.
– Stroll along Thailand’s longest canopy walkway, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding natural trails.
– Observe the elephants in their natural environment as they roam, bathe, play, and socialize at their leisure.
– Savor a delicious vegetarian/vegan Thai buffet at the Tree Top Reception, with complimentary filtered water, coffee, tea, and soft drinks. Take some time to relax and immerse yourself in the peaceful atmosphere of our sanctuary.
1:00 PM: We will then return to our office in Paklok.

– Set off to explore Thailand’s longest canopy walkway and natural trails to locate the elephants
– Stroll around or sit quietly observing the elephants at a respectful distance
– Vegetarian/vegan Thai buffet with complimentary filtered water, coffee, tea, and soft drinks at our Tree Top Reception with time to rest, relax and enjoy the tranquility and beauty of our sanctuary
– Approx. 5:00 PM- Return to our office in Paklok

What to bring:
